Are you suffering from a Are you suffering from a hydrocodone addiction? If so you are not alone. Millions of people suffer from a pain medication addiction in the world today. There are many reasons why a person may become addicted. Perhaps they suffered from a injury and needed to have a operation. A doctor could prescribe hydrocodone as a part of pain management , then later on a person that may never had taken a illegal drug in their life may find themselves enjoying the feeling way more than they should. Another person may have been introduced to pain pills through family or friends. A lot of households have hydrocodone in there bathrooms and medicine cabinets. The easy access of the drugs makes it very easy to abuse. A misconception to day is that pain medication is safer and harmless than street drugs such as heroin and cocaine. I’m here to tell you today that this is a false belief. Pain medications are just as addictive and deadly as any street drug.
So how do you know if you may be, or may becoming addicted to hydrocodone? There are some simple questions you can ask yourself.

• Has my life become unmanageable due to my pain medication use?
• Have I tried to stop on my own but could not?
• Has my friends or family brought to my attention that my pill use has changed the person I am
• Do I obsesses over my drug use and worry about running out?
• Have I done things against the law or against my moral values to get more pills?
• Do I take more medication than I am prescribed and run out long before I should?

If any of these questions hit home for you, then you may have developed a addiction. First thing I would recommend is talk to your doctor. The only way a doctor can help you is if you’re completely honest about your use of the pills and how they are affecting your life. He must know if you’re experiencing any hydrocodone side effects so he may treat you properly. If your doctor decides that you must come off the medication there is a detox process that must be administered.
After you have dealt with the physical side of the addiction, there will be a mental side that needs to be addressed. I personally recommend NA . A 12 step program is a good way to help address some of the past issues that could have drove you to become addicted. It is also a great opportunity to meet other people that have been where you are. Another great resource is your local church or spiritual house. They can offer support and help you through the tough times. Whatever you decide just remember, there is hope. You don’t have to be driven and controlled by your addiction. There is hydrocodone addiction help out there. Me and millions of people have overcome it, and so can you!

    Thanks for the post.
A hydrocodone addiction can be so tricky with the mind. A lot of addicts believe the pain is there long after it has actually gone away, therefore leading them to ‘need’ the drug.
If you find yourself finding other doctors to write you a prescription because your current wont’ anymore…you could possibly need some help.
