Spirituality Over Comes Hydrocodone Addiction

As I examine my hydrocodone addiction and all the toxic influences that come into my life. All of this would be incomplete without including the factors that block growth of my spiritual awareness. I learned how to train myself to respond consciously to situations rather than in an emotionally reactive way. As I develop a healthier relationship with my emotions, it is easier to transform spiritual.

After I looked at my emotional patterns, I was able to start looking at my spirituality and how I was living . Spirituality has many dimensions. Interconnectivity with my spirit, the impact of my belief system. The importance of thoughts, words and actions influences my spiritual path. I learned very powerful spiritual principles of recovery in getting over my hydrocodone addiction, it is not just about eliminating the toxic parts was also about discovering what’s beneficial. Life is a precious gift, by moving with the flow, the the spirituality takes hold.

Of course, there many different belief systems and spiritual paths to choose from. But there are spiritual principles that are dynamic and most common. Some of them may come from religious traditions, while others are more visible in the works of nontraditional sources. You don’t have to be affiliated with religion to have spirituality. Spirituality is all around us and in a community. Luckily, today there is a renewed interest in spirituality in the world. More opportunity for spiritual renewal is available today than ever before.

In today’s world it’s easy to not fill human. Sometimes the world encourages us to leave overly excessively busy lives, it’s important to consciously remind ourselves to slow down take it easy and give ourselves a break. Practices such as meditation and prayer help us discover our inner stillness in the vibrant spirit that lives within us.

Spirituality is not something that is stagnant: it is a process of ever holding a must be cultivated. By increasing our awareness we can connect with our soul. Whenever we choose. Connecting with the soul includes tapping into one’s true nature. This something we didn’t know before being addicted to hydrocodone. Being in alignment with truth results in increased happiness, contentment, fulfillment, and inner peace. Most spiritual traditions teach that cultivating a link to our inner awareness is the secret of living a joy filled life. You develop a sense of knowingness that will help you make the right decisions.

Emphasis on the external world and all the material things that come in the world has called confusion as it presents the illusion that happiness resides outside of ourselves.     Very good insights. I’ve not been addicted Hydrocodone, but have had other addictions and been to 12-step meetings. It is unfortunate that some people can’t wrap their heads around “god as we know him” because of negative experiences in the past with forced religion or parochial schooling.
    I wish you much fulfillment on your quest to stay on the path.

    Thanks for your comments. Yes God is a bit of a hang up for some people, thats why the term “Higher Power” has so much power. Luckly I was able to learn about a God in reverse
